Mr. Ervin has over 19 combined years of high level supervisory experience in information technology and investigations, seven of those years were specifically in federal investigations managing felony-level criminal, fraud, and counterintelligence investigations specializing in electronic discovery. Mr. Ervin specializes in computer forensics and the analysis of digital media, deleted content, cellular phone/mobile device forensics and internet investigations. During his law enforcement tenure as a Special Agent with the Air Force Office of Special Investigations, Mr. Ervin served as the Supervisory Special Agent in hundreds of felony level cases ranging from homicide/death investigations, grand larceny, sexual assault, drugs, child abuse, child pornography, and child sexual assault. Mr. Ervin has provided sworn testimony and/or documentation in hundreds of criminal matters in Military, County, State, and Federal courts in the form of affidavits, hearings, depositions, grand juries, and trials. Mr. Ervin has prepared and advised on complex criminal investigative reports, sworn affidavits, search warrants, and subpoenas and has successfully presented cases to U.S. Attorney’s Offices, U.S. Air Force Staff Judge Advocates, and local District Attorney’s. Mr. Ervin has participated in joint investigations with Department of Homeland Security, Federal Bureau of Investigations, Defense Criminal Investigative Services, Naval Criminal Investigative Service, as well as state, county, and city, and law enforcement. Mr. Ervin has trained Attorney’s and Federal Agent’s on digital forensics preservation/collection and detailed findings of digital media examination.
